About This Project
The Obeng Asaah Enterprise POS is a custom-built digital solution designed to power wholesale distribution and bar/retail sales of beverages. It centralizes inventory tracking for drinks (soft drinks, beers, wines, spirits, etc.), handles orders, processes transactions, manages stock levels in real-time, and supports daily bar operations. Built for reliability in a Ghanaian business environment, it helps reduce manual errors, prevent stockouts, and improve cash flow for a drinks-focused enterprise.
The Challenge
Traditional drinks wholesale and bar businesses in Ghana often rely on manual ledgers, spreadsheets, or basic cash registers, leading to stock discrepancies, slow order fulfillment, lost revenue from over/under-stocking, and difficulty scaling wholesale clients or managing bar sales during peak hours.
Our Solution
Developed as a modern Next.js application with TypeScript for type-safe code, MongoDB for flexible product/inventory storage, and Tailwind CSS for a clean, responsive admin interface. Leveraging static generation and server components for speed, the POS includes real-time updates, order/invoice generation, stock alerts, and enquiry-to-sale flows. Designed with potential offline resilience and mobile access for bar staff or field sales.
